Privacy Policy

When you use BriefTube AI, we collect:

• Account information: Your name and email address (via Apple or Google Sign-In).
• YouTube channel data: Your connected channels and publicly available video metadata (titles, descriptions, publish dates).
• Video transcripts: Publicly available auto-generated captions used solely to produce AI summaries.
• Usage data: Credit usage, app interactions, and purchase history.
• Device token: For push notifications (if enabled).

• To provide AI-powered video summaries and analysis.
• To manage your account, credits, and subscription.
• To send push notifications about new videos from your channels (if enabled).
• To improve the app and fix bugs.

Video transcripts and metadata are sent to our backend server and processed using Google Gemini AI. We do not send your personal information to AI providers — only publicly available video content. AI-generated summaries are stored in your account and can be deleted at any time.

We use the following services:

• Supabase — Database and authentication
• Google — OAuth sign-in, YouTube Data API, and Gemini AI
• Apple — Sign-in and in-app purchases
• Firebase — Push notifications

Your data is stored on Supabase servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We use Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure users can only access their own data. Our backend API is protected with authentication tokens and rate limiting.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data: profile, channels, videos, summaries, transactions, and notes. Deletion is irreversible.

BriefTube AI uses the YouTube Data API. Your connected YouTube account is used only to read your subscriptions. We do not post, modify, or delete any content on your behalf. YouTube data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

BriefTube AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
